The Centre provides two main services :
Child Care Services
Child care services include supervision of children, provided with daily meals and snacks, and assistance with hygiene. Children will also be provided with one rest period per day. They are served breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day. All meals will be prepared on the premises with focus on nutrition that meets the guidance per Canada’s Food Guide. To accommodate various food allergies commonly found in children, the centre is a nut- free facility.
The 2000 sq ft of playground area promotes gross motor activity and allows children to enjoy themselves outdoors. All children at the centre will have at least two hours a day of outdoor activity, weather permitting. The playground area is designed with age appropriate needs for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartens. A daily communication book or chart as well as a weekly program schedule will be in each classroom. This tool allows parents to see what their child is involved in on a daily basis and it’s a great way for teachers and parents to communicate.
The aim of child care services is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children, allowing them children to build their independence and social skills.
Educational Development
Management had diligently created a core curriculum for children to develop their cognitive, intellectual, gross motor skills and fine motor skills.
The curriculum includes the following subjects:
- Numeracy
- Languages and Literacy
- Values and Social Building
- Creative Arts and Drama
- Physical Education
- Science and Computer
- Nutrition and Health
Sensory-based activities will allow children to explore their intellect and be great learners for the future. (For example, hands on activities and materials) Each classroom provides sufficient resources, toys, age appropriate centres and equipment to encourage learning and exploring.
